User-friendly document viewing with DocSurf Mobile from Lufthansa Systems Lufthansa Systems today announced that Lufthansa Cargo has been using the DocSurf Mobile document library solution on its new iPad electronic flight bags (EFB) since the start of March. This solution from Lufthansa Systems enables pilots to quickly and easily view manuals, use new functionalities and take advantage of the iPad’s usual intuitive operation. Lufthansa Cargo is the launching customer for this customized application.

DocSurf Mobile is a document library solution for displaying the digital guides, operating manuals and documents required for flight operations and aircraft maintenance. The application significantly simplifies and speeds up workflows on the flight deck and on the ground. The solution’s extremely fast response time makes it easier for the pilots of Lufthansa Cargo AG to view the relevant documents as well as search for and filter information at any time, anywhere in the world. Revisions are clearly displayed in DocSurf Mobile, and revised documents can be compared. Personal favorites and notes relating to the documents remain in place even when a document is revised. DocSurf Mobile is available as an iOS app and as a platform-independent solution for all popular tablet operating systems and browsers. “As experienced EFB operators, we have high information management demands for highly specialized users such as pilots.
