We farm with a 2013 Farmall 105U, 1996 Case IH 3230, 2 1990 7120 Magnums (1 fwa, 1 2wd ) 1, 1981 IH 786, 1,1963 Farmall 460 gas, and 1 1948 Farmall H. Also have a 2001 2366 combine with the corresponding heads. A 2005 2377 combine. A Case IH 6500 conser til chisel plow and even a 56 forage blower.

Also own a 1988 9370 IH Eagle semi tractor to pull hopper bottom.Everything else is a conglomeration of stuff to make the farm go round. Am a IH guy born in the Case IH era. A buddy of mine has a 1650 Oliver diesel that looks like we're going to have to tear into the engine. While running the engine has developed a miss, is smoking blue smoke and is slobbering oil out of the exhaust like crazy. Compression check shows none on cylinder 2 so it looks like he wants my help tearing into it. I'm looking for a good tear down and rebuild manual for one with the specs I need.

If anyone has any sources it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. The IT manuals are fine for those old tractors. Give you everything you should need to know. I would imagine parts for the Waukesha Oliver Diesel are going to be hard to find.

By all means fix it for him as a memento. I like the I T manuals myself have all the settings and all critical measurements. I think a lot of times it is assumed in the IT manual that you are trained a little so some basic stuff is omitted. Fixed many tractors with I T manuals and a few factory manuals. Going to have to agree with Dale on the I&T manuals for this series tractor.

Parts are readily available, just make sure you get a good head gasket as the one from AGCO or most aftermarket suppliers has no meat to it at all. Brad @ Maibach Tractor has all the info / parts you need.

1650 Oliver Tractor Service Manual

Just google Maibach Tractor. Is the engine crossfire or direct injected? If it is cross fire they run nice quiet & smooth, if direct injected have a little deeper diesel knock and do cold start better. Crossfire heads have injectors on left side an injectors are mounted horizontal with energy cells on opposite side of head. 36. Advanced Member.
