2015 Colorado LT - I’ve never done my own maintenance so this stuff is new to me. Since it is out of warranty I’d like to do more of the maintenance and simpler things. I’ll still take it in for the bigger things. Did my first oil change a few weeks back and aside for the filter and drain being ridiculously difficult to take off due to them being so tight, it was super easy. That being said, it doesn’t pay for me to spend $400 on the official service manual. The auto parts stores carry smaller repair manuals but I haven’t seen any for Colorados after 2012. Is there another resource that is relatively cheap for the basics to easier issues - fluid flushed, brakes, more common repair work?

I use the electrical diagrams mostly, the only thing that's bad about them is torque specs. They are current to the date that's printed, so be careful with that.

I had an hhr ss that I had to replace the intake manifold, and I used the torque specs provided in the manual. I cracked the aluminum intake as a result, I went to the Chevy dealer and sure enough they had revised torque specs which were lower lol!! Expensive mistake I learned, so now I always check with the dealer first for torque specs lol!!
